ONE STAGE. NO CLASHES. PARTY TOGETHER.
With only 17 days to go until FOMO Festival hits Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney and with all states on final release tickets, the festival are pleased to announced that due to overwhelming demand, special Desiigner, Metro Boomin and JME sideshows have been added. Taking it’s all killer no filler line-up to Melbourne and Perth, (tickets on sale Wednesday 21st Dec 2016 at 10am Local Time for these cities) audiences will be able to witness these incredible artists debut Australian performances over January. The news joins the recently announced Desiigner Under 18s show at Enmore Theatre, Sydney – answering the prayers of school kids all around NSW, the 19-year old Brooklyn native is set to share the bill with Slumberjack, Ivan Ooze, Benson & Liz Cambage – tickets on sale now.
Accompanying his Sydney FOMO Festival and Enmore appearance, two additional Desiigner over 18 shows have been added to 170 Russell, Melbourne and Metro City, Perth (on sale Wednesday 21st Dec 2016 at 10am Local Time.) Signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music label, Desiigner is the man behind the multi-platinum, global phenomenon ‘Panda‘ (the song that holds the record for highest numbers of streams of a song by a rapper over a 7-day period); and the irrepressible and eerily subdued follow up single ‘Tiimmy Turner‘, which has provided “one of the year’s most jolting moments in popular music” -The New Yorker.
Boy Better Know founder and grime royalty JME will perform an exclusive Melbourne headline show at The Corner Hotel, Melbourne – tickets on sale now. His 2015 album, ‘Integrity’ was released independently, featured the likes of Skepta, D Double E, Frisco, Big Narstie and Giggs, and soared up the album charts to re-establish JME as one of Grime’s leading lights. Over the years, the BBK label, collective and notoriety merge into one over-arching reflection of the spirit at the heart of Grime. JME’s renowned spirit of independence is at this point, iconic and hugely influential across the Grime Scene.
With first release tickets already sold out for his 170 Russell show in Melbourne, platinum-selling and Grammy-nominated producer and DJ Metro Boomin has just announced a second show at the Villa, Perth. At just 22-years old, Metro Boomin has earned the reputation as “the most trusted guy in rap,” working with some of the biggest names in the genre including Drake, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, 2 Chainz, Tinashe, Gucci Mane, YG, Ludacris, Wiz Khalifa, Meek Mill, Ilovemakonnen and many more. With his production tags “Metro Boomin Want Some More!” and “If Young Metro Don’t Trust You, I’mma Shoot You” recognised worldwide, this production talent doesn’t just stay behind the scenes, performing over 100 shows in 2015 – including spot dates and festivals.
Once again returning to the picturesque surrounds of Riverstage Brisbane, FOMO recently announced its expansion to unique homes The Crescent, Parramatta Park in Sydney and heritage-listed Adelaide Gaol. At the helm of it’s 2017 edition are dynamite Chicago duo Flosstradamus and the iconic Empire Of The Sun, with an international brigade rounded out by grime leader JME and soulection rapper GoldLink. A massive cohort of Australian talent is represented by ARIA-winning electronic mavericks Peking Duk, Mad Decent-signed trending export Slumberjack and triple threat threat George Maple + more – full line-up below.
