“it’s dance music, but for the soul”

“Journeying and introspective, “U” pieces together a narrative”

“A one-man act done right”

Ahead of his sold-out debut Australian headline shows later this month, UK electronic producer and Grammy award winner Tourist has announced emerging Melbourne producer Swell as main support in Sydney and Melbourne. The news follows the release of the James Lewis-directed and Jake Robinson art directed visual translation for ‘Too Late,’ the latest single off his acclaimed debut Triple J Feature album, U which reached #1 in the iTunes electronic chart and features BBC Radio 1 playlisted and Hype Machine #1 ‘Run’ and ‘To Have You Back.’

Hailing from Melbourne, 17-year Ezra Claproth has been making music under the moniker Swell since he was 13-years old. Releasing his debut EP There’s Still Us earlier this year, with lead single I’m sorry (feat. shiloh) amassing nearly 3 million Spotify and 2.7 million SoundCloud streams , the young producer recently returned with new single ‘Forgive Me.’

Picking up a Grammy last year for his co-writer role on Sam Smith‘s ‘Stay With Me’, Tourist wrote debut album U over the course of several years. Taking the listener through the beginnings of a relationship to the parting of ways, the 10-track offering takes a more stripped back approach, following previous singles and EPs including 2015’s ‘Holding On (ft. Josef Salvat & Niia) which clocked over 1.6 million SoundCloud streams.

Currently making his way around the European festival circuit, Australian fans who were lucky enough to snap up tickets, will be treated to this exquisite album performed live before the classically trained instrumentalist and producer heads off on a UK and North American headline tour.
