In May, the Australia Council for the Arts announced the results of the Four Year Funding Program and PACT was one of many companies who did not receive funding.
What does this mean for PACT? Without multi-year operational funding from the Federal Government, PACT faces an uncertain future. The next generation of groundbreaking artists will have fewer opportunities to develop and present their work; the Arts sector will lose a vital incubator for experimental performance; and audiences will miss the amazing energy the next great Australian performance makers bring to the PACT stage.
How can you help?
Join PACT on Saturday 25 June at 1pm for a BBQ and the launch of our campaign, with speakers Zoe Combs Marr and Grahame Bond.
The event will be followed by a AFTERGLOW artists forum with Amrita Hepi, Jahra Wasasala, Angela Goh and Thomas ES Kelly, lead by Critical Path at 4pm. Find out more about AFTERGLOW: http://bit.ly/AFTERGLOW16
You are in the position to help us reach that goal and ensure that the next generation of experimental artists get the support they need.
